BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider - Initial

Attention: Take this class if you have never taken the BLS class before or you have an expired BLS Provider card.

This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Includes:

  • Recognition of life-threatening emergencies
  • CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • High-quality chest compressions for adults, children, and infants
  • Important early use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations 
  • One rescuer or team of rescuers CPR
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Terms and conditions

Refund Policy: Cancellations prior to the start of any course will result in an administrative fee of $25.00. No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the course date.

Rescheduling Policy: Reschedules will be charged an administrative fee of $25.00. You have 45 days from the original course date to reschedule your class. If you do not successfully complete the rescheduled course, it will be treated as a new registration and the student is required to pay for a new class.

No Show: There is NO Refund for no-shows. The student will have to register and pay for a new class.

Tardy Policy: Please make plans to arrive on time. Students arriving more than 10 minutes after the class starts time will need to reschedule by paying for a new class.

BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider - Renewal

Attention: This is the BLS Renewal Class. A non-expired  AHA BLS card is required. 

If your card is expired, please choose the BLS for Healthcare Providers "Initial" class.

This class is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to renew their CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Includes:

  • Recognition of life-threatening emergencies
  • CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • High-quality chest compressions for adults, children, and infants
  • Important early use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations 
  • One rescuer or team of rescuers CPR

Atención: tome esta clase si nunca antes ha tomado la clase BLS o si tiene una tarjeta de proveedor BLS vencida.

Este curso está diseñado para profesionales de la salud y otro personal que necesita saber cómo realizar RCP y otras habilidades de soporte vital cardiovascular básico en una amplia variedad de entornos hospitalarios y prehospitalarios.

Incluye:

  • Reconocimiento de emergencias que ponen en peligro la vida
  • RCP (CPR) para adultos, niños y bebés
  • Compresiones torácicas de alta calidad para adultos, niños y bebés
  • Importante uso temprano de un DEA (AED)
  • Ventilaciones efectivas
  • Un rescatista o equipo de rescatistas RCP (CPR)
  • Alivio de la obstrucción de las vías respiratorias por cuerpo extraño (asfixia) para adultos y bebés

BLS Instructor (Initial)

IMPORTANT

Before you're able to teach CPR courses, you must be aligned with an AHA Training Center or Training Site. 

Utopia HCC is an AHA Training Site accepting new instructor candidates. 

  • You do not have to align with us. You can choose the training center or training site of your preference. 
  • There is an annual fee associated with the instructor's alignment which we will discuss during the Instructor's training. 
  • Benefits associated with aligning with us will also be discussed during the training.

This course is designed for BLS Providers who would like to teach others how to save lives performing Cardiopulmonary resuscitation. 

The instructor candidate will learn to instruct others on how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Classes that can be taught with this certification are:

  • BLS
  • CPR
  • First Aid
  • Blended CPR and First Aid

Terms and conditions

Refund Policy: Written cancellations/refund requests must be received at least  72 hours before class (send an email to info@utopiahcc.com). There is No Refund if written cancellation is not received at least  72 hours before class. 
 
Cancellation will result in an administrative fee of $60.00  for instructor courses.  
 
Rescheduling Policy: You will be charged an administrative fee of $60.00 for the instructor course.  You have 45 days from the original course date to reschedule your class. If you do not complete the rescheduled course, it will be treated as a new registration and you will be required to pay for a new class. 
 
No Show:  There is NO Refund for no-shows. Students will have to register and pay for a new class.
 
Tardy Policy: Please make plans to arrive on time. Students arriving more than 15 minutes after class start time will need to reschedule (rescheduling policy applies).
 
Registration Email Address: We HIGHLY recommend that you use a personal email address (for example, Gmail), versus a work email, when registering for your class, as all correspondence will be sent via email. Some workplaces have firewall restrictions that may interfere with prompt delivery.
